Free Demonstrations

There is no charge for the demonstrations and you don't need to pre-register. Some demos will be ongoing throughout the day and others are scheduled for a specific time. The Demonstration schedule will be posted at the entrance to the event and is listed below.  Demos are subject to change so be sure check the schedule when you arrive at the event.

Wild & Woolly Demos

Saturday

Ongoing all day
  • "Hands on" Needle Felting - leave your handprint on our banner and learn to needle felt
  • Spinning on a Wheel
  • Rug Punch Needle - Fletcher Farms
10am
  • Needle Felting on a Silk Scarf
  • Pom Pom Making- We'll show you how to make the large and small. We'll demonstrate how to use the Clover Pom Pom making kit or just a piece of cardboard.
11am
  • Traditional Rug Hooking
  • Weaving on a rigid heddle loom
Noon
  • Knit 911 - Bring your mistakes and we'll show you how to fix them. We'll also demonstrate how to correct many common problems.
1pm
  • Saori Weaving- Saori is an art of weaving by hand that is dedicated to free expression and improvisational, with no premeditated pattern in mind.
2pm
  • Learn to Knit - We'll teach how to cast on, knit and purl. Bring your own needles and yarn or practice with ours. If you're ready we'll get you started on a scarf.
  • Learn to Crochet - We'll show you how to make a foundation chain, single and double crochet. Bring your own yarn and hook or practice on ours. If you're ready we'll get you started on a scarf.
3pm
  • Mobius Cast On- a mobius has only one boundary edge,  This method makes an elegant scarf/cowl with no seams.
  • Magic Loop - an alternative to using double pointed needles
4pm
  • Cables Without a Cable Needle- speed up your cables by not using a cable needle. Although a bit scary at first it's really easy and you don't have to worry about where you put that cable needle.

Sunday
